Waiting for cylinder fittings and other parts essential for navigation…
We refit the sails and the lazy bag this time a little too tight for a sail folded too quickly (it will be better on the water with the headwind)
Above all, we take this opportunity to refurbish the engine propulsion system in anticipation of the purchase of a Jprop variable pitch propeller (delay requires we will only have it in the Azores in September but we are preparing the place for it) . As long as there is change of the oil seal of the gear box which had given us miseries in Alaska and of the rotating joint and its very tired sealing bellows.
Under the Easter deluge we are doing a conclusive test of the new Autoterm heater which will work under sail: hurry up!
The assembly of the parts finally arrived, mounted within the hour, a few screws and fittings are missing but we are “almost” there… all we have to do is crimp the 210 bar hose of the cylinder to be able to do the tests before recovering the keel!!
but also that we recover the part of the autopilot, the shroud, the new toilet and it will be good for the launch. At last!
