We arrived just in time before a gust of wind which would have made it difficult for us to moor.
We anchor in the channel while we reconnect the external helm and prepare for the dockside maneuver.
Jean Louis, port master, arrives at 8:31 a.m. to inform us that Frank informed him of our arrival: the Corsican accent is there: we have arrived safely.
The lines are designed for boats a little shorter than Fredoya but we calmly adjust our moorings then Fred retrieves the perfect vehicle to spend the few days in this no man’s land.
Teva insisting on unloading before leaving to take their ferry, we move into 3 annexes and 2 full trunks to lighten Fredoya and prepare the cabins (2 cabins for 1 grandson… he will develop luxury tastes)
Carole and Teva are well on time at the bus meeting point in front of the Spar in which they were able to do some shopping in anticipation that there might be a small delay in Ajaccio (2 hours before the ferry). Good luck to them, the bus broke down and they arrived 10 minutes before the end of boarding thanks to a surfer picking them up by hitchhiking. The learning of life as sea travellers continues for them!
We will set sail again towards Port Saint Louis as planned after November 7.
