Rigging control

No notable surprises apart from an eye of the shroud turnbuckle showing a trace of crack…? Wasn’t it from the beginning?
When in doubt, Hugo from PSL rigging quickly finds one for us and we can raise the sails as soon as we have arms to help or receive the electric crank to compensate for the weakness of Frédo’s shoulders.
Without forgetting while he was lying at eye level: at the masthead, the antennas the lights; cleaning spreader tips…
Preparation of the various positions requiring welding: central rudder, bow and arch for bimini top (yes we are planning ahead after all these years in the north!)
But also preparation for the overhaul – repair of the steering system, installation of a Jprop propeller (since we have been dreaming of it: a propeller that will no longer spin empty: speed gain, wear and silence!!! (we will tell you news in 3 months).
And then a little electricity while waiting to start the routine: keel bearing to be re-sealed, floor to be sanded and varnished, installation of a new depth sounder probe… To be continued…
