After:
Reinstallation of the injection pump: thanks to Cyrus Marine in Vancouver
Receipt of the clutch damper rubbers, shipped from Greece via Mike Meegan in Haida Gwaii
Receipt of the rear crankshaft seal (2nd order from Prince Rupert – Cow Bay Marina where we finally got our bearings)
Hydraulic hose connecting the pre-filter to the diesel pump, remade by Fred from Sea-sport Outboard Marina Ltd.
Fully stocked with beer and potatoes thanks to L&M’s car, which returned from the mountains with dirty laundry but beautiful photos.
Crab supplies stocked for the next few days!
We’re heading south again with a team of Polish sailors, thankfully on vacation, as it will be 99.5% engine use, with the occasional genoa.
It took Fred three days to convince himself the engine would hold up… Fred checks for micro-leaks every day. The rest of the time is spent fishing and finding ways to burn off the calories from Fred’s meals and dessert.
