We didn’t have time to wish everyone a happy new year, but we finalized our plans.
It is with great sadness that we are leaving Alaska and all our travels to the United States for an indefinite period.**
Fredoya will therefore be brought back to Canada by our favorite son.
If all goes well, we will be able to enjoy a few weeks of sailing in British Columbia before returning to Mexico next fall, where we will receive a warm welcome.
**B2 visa revoked when we left in November because they thought we had stayed for 5 years (the computer system doesn’t record our departure from Ketchikan in September 2020 – only our arrival by plane in March 2020 – and our departure in November 2025).
We had to make an appointment at the Embassy in France: it is now mandatory to do so in our country of nationality.
The consular attaché accepted the visa after watching our entry stamp in Mexico in September 2020. We waited a week to receive our passports WITHOUT visas this time, the reason given being insufficient ties to our country of nationality.
